Rotary & Club Members are passionately involved in world events, challenges and needs.

Our community is very fortunate to have so many dedicated citizens, quietly going about their lives contributing their time and talents to serve all of us. Often you would never know of all the good things they are doing, since they are rarely the ones to be in the spotlight. Rotary regards Service to others as their focus, so each year the Invermere Club recognizes a person or persons who have gone Above and Beyond. The Citizen of the Year is chosen from submitted nominations.

Columbia Valley Interact Club A group of Service minded youth, grades 8-12 in David Thompson Secondary School. The students are keen to identify student and community needs, and will volunteer to serve, which is the mandate of Rotary and Interact. Building young leaders - our future is bright!

Friday Night On line Bingo provided a safe and social opportunity to connect with friends and family, and yes create some new friendships during Covid. Columbia Valley players are estimated to have won over a million dollars, plus funds awarded back into the community through Rotary allocations, ballooned that figure, Benefits to community are far reaching!

On Line Bingo created an opportunity for qualified organizations to receive funding during a time when fundraisers were extra difficult. Applications for funding ranged a few hundred dollars to many thousands - and since Gaming funds were available, other Rotary fundraising dollars were freed up to support other (non gaming qualified) needs in the area.
